Established in 1993, funding for
the Clyde Harnack Scholarship is provided by proceeds of the Oak Apple Run. Each
scholarship recipient attends the Oakland Community College Basic Fire or Police Academy,
either full or part-time, with tuition and books covered for these intensified courses. The scholarship is a memorial to Clyde Harnack, a longtime Oak Apple
volunteer whose dream was to work in public service. Clyde was killed in Royal Oak in 1991
All individuals pursuing a career in public service are
eligible to apply for the scholarships. For more information, please call (248) 232-4580
